“Halcyon” Progress Gif

A gif showing how my latest painting, a 4′ x 9′ behemoth called “Halcyon” came together. I used a paint roller to lay down the black strips as a foundation, then used paintbrushes and a palette knife to color in and sculpt around the shapes.
