Made it to the reception for the latest show at Compound, a great art/food/community venue in Long Beach. I was not familiar with Fay Ray before the show, so it was great to learn of a new woman artist. I thought her work was very impressive. She showed large-scale metal sculptures that looked like magnified jewelry, as well as small ceramic maternal figures.
