The Compound, a lovely gallery/restaurant/community center in the Zaferia area of Long Beach, has started hosting “Drop-in Drawing” on Saturdays from 11-3. My studio mate Sonja Schenk and I decided to check it out and have brunch there as well. It was a beautiful day and we had a large table all to ourselves, where we whiled away a couple of excellent hours drawing, chatting, and eating.
