RIP to Marshall Arisman, an amazing artist and educator who inspired me to pursue an MFA at the School of Visual Arts in NY in the late 90s. He’d come to speak at my school in Laguna Beach a few years earlier and had made an indelible impression on me. When I did get to study with him, I found him not only to be as kind, generous, and wise as I’d hoped he’d be, but also very funny and fun. Those were some of the best years of my life, and I’ll never forget them. A huge loss for the SVA family and the world. You will be missed ❤️
