Inspired by found and imagined dolls, these paintings explore the fascination/revulsion we have for them by presenting various types of dolls in situations and poses that create some degree of disturbing effect. Painted in acrylic on either 6” x 6” or 6” x 9” wood panels, their small size and carefully rendered subjects engender a feeling of preciousness, which is leavened by the twisted nature of their situations.
