My second time participating in the annual small works show at Dark Art Emporium! This year I got the idea to paint a very ferocious kitten, called “Berserker”—a tiny terror indeed! This led to a series I’m calling “The Kit Squad”.

I don’t have a pic of the drawing from the Ink & Drink, alas, but it was the first time I did the double header and Nick joined for the first time after, which was great!

A few years ago I started a series of author portraits to make into cards for the local bookstore, Page Against the Machine. Since then, I’ve branched out into musicians and socially significant people. I’ve done up to 29 so far, and have no plans to stop!

Had a great time drawing in a 3-hour live figure drawing session at Catalyst, the classes/sessions arm of the @artsupplywarehouse. The model, JJ, had great poses and costumes—a total pro.
