This series began in 2024, when I started teaching mixed media workshops at Catalyst. I started out revisiting a process I hadn’t worked in in almost 30 years–using inks, charcoals, encaustic, and collage. It was a fun and rejuvenating return. Keeping things small enables me to try out ideas rapid-fire and prevents things from getting too precious. The exploration continues, with detours into sculptural forms and brighter colors.
