When I posted last, I had no idea that my cat Yuki had mere weeks to live. He’d been having some gastrointestinal issues but I had no idea how serious it was until it was too late. I had to put him to sleep on Dec 14th and it was the most heartbreaking thing I’ve had to do in my whole life. I didn’t grow up with very many pets so he was my first “real” pet, and he came to occupy a very special place in my heart. I’d adopted him from the Seal Beach Animal Center in the spring of 2006, and at the time I was specifically looking for a mellow adult cat. He fit the bill perfectly, and we were able to enjoy a good number of happy years together. I was hoping for more time with him, but one never knows how that will work out. At least I can say I gave him a good, comfortable life and showered him with much love. He was a very special cat and I will remember him fondly forever. Goodbye, Yuki, thanks for all the wonderful memories.
